The Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy (CII) Major consists of focused training in tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy. A mix of basic and translational research programs is galvanizing major advances in the understanding of the immunobiology of cancer and developing the next generation of immunotherapeutic interventions that will transform the management of cancer patients.
Faculty in the CII Major is at the forefront of developing innovative immunotherapeutic treatments for cancer. Close collaboration between basic scientists and clinical investigators provides students the opportunity to participate in discovering mechanistic principles and advancing them through to clinical trials.
