The Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Program at Moffitt Cancer Center is the largest and most active program of its kind in the Southeast. Committed to providing every aspect of treatment and supportive care in a single, convenient location, Moffitt is an established leader in the field of bone marrow transplantation. We are a National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) transplant and collection center, and we are fully accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), speaking to the unwavering dedication and expertise of our team.
Our Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Program serves patients with a number of hematological conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, aplastic anemia and MDS, as well as select solid tumors. After individually assessing each patient’s condition, our multispecialty team recommends the most appropriate transplant option. We routinely perform:
- Autologous and allogenic transplants
- High-intensity and reduced-intensity transplants
- Cord blood transplants
- Peripheral blood stem cell transplants
As a core member of the BMT Clinical Trials Network, Moffitt offers an advanced program that hosts a number of transplant clinical trials, offering patients the opportunity to benefit from specialized techniques and technologies that aren't yet available elsewhere. To learn more about the clinical trials currently available at Moffitt, contact us at 813-745-6100 or 1-800-679-0775 (toll-free) or submit a clinical trials inquiry form.
As part of our commitment to comprehensive medicine, we offer a complete range of supportive care services as well, including identifying unrelated donors, medical management of post-transplant complications (including Graft versus Host disease), as well as dietary counseling and specialty pharmacy services, all in a single, easy-to-access clinic.
Due to the specialization of our Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Program, we are able to achieve exceptional outcomes for our patients, and also offer transplantation services for many patients with potential contraindications, such as advanced age. We are one of the only centers to offer transplantation for adults age 70 and older who are indicated for a bone marrow transplant.
