Moffitt Cancer Center is the only location in the Bay Area harnessing the power of MRI-Guided Radiation Therapy. MRI-Linac integrates magnetic resonance imaging technology with a linear accelerator.

This cancer therapy breakthrough offers enhanced personalization and precision. Clinicians can visualize tumors using continuous MRI, capturing multiple images every second, to see the soft tissue and organs moving and then adapt the treatment accordingly, resulting in improved accuracy and decreased side effects.

As part of Moffitt’s complement of Radiation Oncology therapies, MRI-Linac radiation is being utilized in the treatment of pancreatic, lung, prostate, liver and many other cancers.
